A girlfriend noticed then remarked to me that the acorns are plentiful this year, she continued in a rather Chauncey Gardner -like fashion, “I think this foreshadows a long winter, ya know, nature takes care of her animals”. So now I’m focused on acorns and the winter to come. The squirrels are getting ready maybe we should too. The bunting is for my girlfriend and her wise words.
I screen-printed the acorn images above using a very inventive technique developed by Ms. Skinny Laminx, aka Heather Moore. Heather is a very talented illustrator and designer from South Africa that I had the distinct pleasure of meeting and taking a workshop from at Squam.
